White label WordPress development: how it works and what it costs

What white label WordPress really costs

THE SHORT ANSWER

White label WordPress development means a partner builds the site and your agency delivers it under your own brand. You pay the partner a fixed project price, a page rate, an hourly rate or a block of monthly hours, then resell at your own price. With us, builds start at $400 a page and fixes cost $30 an hour.

Most agencies hit the same wall in the same order: more sales than developers, a freelancer who disappears mid-project, then a client who notices the quality drop. White label WordPress development is how agencies grow delivery without hiring. Here is how it works, what it should cost, and where the hidden costs hide.

01How white label WordPress development works

Your agency owns the client. The partner works behind you: same deadlines, your project tools, your brand on everything the client sees. A good partner never contacts your client and never puts their name in the footer.

  • You send a brief: a Figma file, a sitemap, a Loom or an existing site.
  • The partner sends a fixed quote, ideally within 24 hours.
  • They build on staging, so the live site is never touched until you approve.
  • You review, they fix, and the site launches under your name.
  • Edit guides, videos and reports carry your logo, not theirs.

Our own process runs exactly like this, NDA first. You can see every step on the how it works page.

02The four ways partners charge

Every white label partner prices in one of four ways. Each suits a different kind of work.

03What it costs with us

Real numbers make this easier to plan, so here are ours. Every quote is fixed and written before work starts.

  • Pilot page: $199, one page up to 6 sections, live in 3 working days. One per agency.
  • Custom builds and Figma to WordPress: from $400 a page.
  • WooCommerce stores: from $900.
  • Migrations from Wix, Squarespace or Webflow: from $500.
  • Fixes and small changes: $30 an hour.
  • White label care plans you resell: from $25 a site.

Full details are on the pricing page. Most builds take 3 to 7 working days.

FROM OUR DESK

We have delivered 800+ projects since 2013, most of them for agencies who resold them. The pattern never changes: agencies that send a clear brief pay less, because fixed quotes only stay fixed when the scope is clear.

04The hidden costs agencies forget

The quote is rarely the whole cost. These are the line items that turn a cheap partner into an expensive one.

  • Your project manager’s time chasing updates and rewriting briefs.
  • Rework when the build doesn’t match the design at every breakpoint.
  • Plugin and builder licenses the partner assumed you would buy.
  • Post-launch fixes that weren’t included in the price.
  • Time zone gaps that turn a one-day fix into a three-day wait.

Ask every partner what is included after launch and when they are online in your time zone. We are online until 1am Bangladesh time, which covers US Eastern until about 2pm and the full UK working day.

05How to price it to your client

Mark up partner work rather than passing it through at cost. Price on the value to your client, not on the partner’s cost: your strategy, design direction, project management and client relationship are what the client is paying for. Keep a margin that still works if a project needs one round of rework.

Recurring work changes the math. A white label care plan bought from $25 a site and resold monthly turns one-off builds into revenue that renews.

06In-house, freelancer or white label?

White label isn’t the only way to grow delivery. Here is how it compares to the other two.

Many agencies use all three: one in-house lead, a white label partner for volume and the odd specialist freelancer.

07What makes a quote cheaper

You control more of the price than you think. These make every quote smaller and faster.

  • A finished design, with mobile layouts, instead of “we’ll figure it out as we go”.
  • Final copy and images ready before the build starts.
  • Your builder, plugin list and starter kit shared up front.
  • One person on your side who gives feedback, in one list per round.
  • Similar projects sent regularly, so the partner already knows your standards.

08How to compare two quotes

  • Check what counts as a page, and whether templates like blog posts are included.
  • Look for the number of revision rounds and the rate after that.
  • Ask how long free fixes last after delivery. Ours is 30 days.
  • Compare delivery dates, not just prices. A cheaper build that lands two weeks late costs you the client’s patience.
  • Ask what happens if the scope changes halfway through.

09FAQ

Is white label development the same as outsourcing?

It is a type of outsourcing where the partner stays invisible. The client deals only with your agency, and everything they see carries your brand.

Will my client know I use a partner?

Not from us. We work under your brand, in your tools, sign an NDA before we see a file and never contact your client unless you ask.

Hourly or fixed price: which is cheaper?

Fixed is cheaper for anything with a clear scope, because the risk sits with the partner. Hourly is better for fixes and problems nobody can size yet.

How do I test a new partner without risk?

Start with one small, real page. Our $199 pilot page exists for exactly this: you see the code, the communication and the turnaround before you commit a client project.

What is included in a white label build?

With us: the build on staging, responsive checks, basic SEO setup, two revision rounds, a handoff video under your brand and 30 days of free fixes.

Do you charge for revisions?

Two rounds against the agreed scope are included. Changes beyond that are $30 an hour or quoted first, so there are no surprise invoices.
